Buddying
Everyone works differently, and for some people having a trusted, neuro-aware support system can make all the difference. At Supported by Rebecca I provide one-to-one buddying for individuals who benefit from an understanding and structured approach, with a special focus on ADHD and neurodivergence.
With training in neurodiversity and hands-on experience supporting clients with a variety of needs, I offer gentle guidance, friendly accountability and behind-the-scenes support that helps people stay on top of their roles. Buddying is not about doing the job for someone else. It is about working alongside them to make tasks easier, calmer and more manageable so that they can succeed in their own role.
I can support with processing information, recognising and managing triggers, and finding ways of working that feel natural and sustainable. My role is to help create clarity, reduce overwhelm and bring a sense of steady structure.
Here are some of the ways I provide buddying support:
• Regular check-ins and structured time planning
• Help with prioritisation and breaking down large responsibilities
• Assistance with email or task follow-up that may feel overwhelming
• Encouragement in decision-making and managing workload
• Support with communication styles that suit the individual
• A non-judgemental sounding board and positive reinforcement
My buddying support is personal, respectful and built on trust, helping individuals feel more confident, organised and in control of their day-to-day responsibilities.
